Après une poignée de chansons remarquées pour leur songwritting délectablement déprimant, Hoorsees sort enfin son premier EP à l’esthétique nettement moins lo-fi que ses précédents travaux. Les thèmes de "Major League of Pain" sont ceux d’une adulescence bloquée le cul entre deux chaises : celle d’un mauvais jeu de Playstation 1 et d’une bonne chanson de Pavement. Au programme de ces réjouissantes chansons aussi mélancoliques qu’une rupture amoureuses deux semaines à peine après la rentrée des classes en première L, d’irrésistibles mélodies pop, une sincérité adolescente qui pourra rappeler Alex G ou Current Joys , ainsi qu’une émotion singulière et honnête dont seuls les quatre parisiens ont le secret.
La sortie de l’EP est prévue en vinyle, cd, k7 sur B&FF, Crême Brulée et In Silico records le 18 octobre 2019.

I know it's an obscure reference, but the singer reminds me of Anneke van Giersbergen from the Gathering. The singer of Romero is a highlight of the band's sound, and the power-pop tunes are driven by her. Looking forward to future releases of this band. Bart
